What we collect
When you use a search tool on TikTok Finder, the value you enter (a username or a video link) is sent to our server so it can be looked up on your behalf. We don't require an account, and we don't ask for your name, email, or any personal information to use the tools.
What we don't store
Search queries and lookup results are processed to answer your request and are not written to a database or linked to you individually.
Stored on your device
The tools remember your last few searches in your own browser's local storage so you can repeat them quickly. This list never leaves your device and you can clear it by clearing your browser's site data. To protect the service from abuse and to avoid repeating identical lookups, our server may also briefly keep your recent lookup results in memory (a few minutes) before discarding them.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from. It sets cookies and sends page-view and device information to Google. The usernames and video links you search for are sent to our server in the background and are never part of the page address, so they are not sent to Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on, and the tools will keep working. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and request timestamps) for security and abuse-prevention purposes, including rate-limiting excessive requests. These logs are not used to build profiles of individual visitors.
Third parties
Looking up a TikTok username involves requesting TikTok's public oEmbed endpoint and may also send the username to TikLiveAPI (tikliveapi.com), an independent third-party data provider, for public profile details. Looking up a TikTok video link may send that link to the same provider to retrieve details TikTok's own public data doesn't expose. Neither TikTok's nor the provider's handling of that request is governed by this policy — see their own respective policies.
